Summer B. - September 2018

Summer and I met in 2015 when I was coaching an all women's "bootcamp" style class at a local CrossFit box. Following her second child, she was looking for a fun means to lose some baby weight. Always smiling, she provided a beautiful energy to the class dynamic and bonded with the other ladies, which happens quickly when you're suffering together, ha.

A Regional Account Direction for Prodigy Health Suppliers, Summer is a hard working super mom. This 30-something year old needs all the energy she can get to keep up with her seven and four-year olds! While I have to remind this former ballet dancer to not arch her back at times (dance habits die hard!), she is also one of my most athletic clients.

Summer can do unassisted pull-ups, pistol squats, 30" box jumps and more. Pretty much anything I can dream up, she embraces with open arms and unyielding trust. Hell, she usually tells me "That was a good one!" Even on the most challenging of days, she puts her head down and GRINDS.

Even while LIFE throws the kitchen sink at her, she not only perseveres, she becomes more resilient, adaptable and unbreakable. That's grit, y'all!

Despite the personal challenges Summer has experienced, she's manages to still kick so much ass in the gym (and out). Check out some of her progress photos!

There is nothing more powerful or radical or stunningly beautiful than a woman who chooses to rebuild her life day after day, after day. No matter how many pieces there are to pick up, or how many mistakes she must spin into gold.

Summer truly is one of my best fierce lady friends. I’m so proud and impressed of the woman she’s became since I’ve known her, but especially over this past year. Not to mention, she’s an incredible mother and easily one of the most genuine, thoughtful and generous people I know. It’s been an absolute privilege to GET TO train her and watch her discover her potential and strength for herself.
